About Us
The Park Rangers' Association of Santa Clara County is a non-profit organization representing the sworn men and women of the
Parks and Recreation Department.
Park Rangers provide essential services to the 1.93 million residents of Santa Clara County. These services include Law Enforcement, Wildland Firefighting, Emergency Medical Services, Search & Rescue, Natural & Cultural Park Interpretation, and Natural Resource Management including routine trail maintenance and park improvement projects.
Without Park Rangers, the safety, preservation, and accessibility of Santa Clara County's parks would be severely compromised, leaving natural and cultural resources unprotected and visitors without essential emergency response services. Rangers serve as the frontline defense against crime, wildfire, and environmental degradation in over 52,000 acres of parkland.
